Glossary

Core Concepts

  • Node: A single element in the hierarchical tree structure that can process events and maintain state.
  • Protocol: A reusable behavior that nodes can participate in (e.g., Lifecycle, Discovery, Authorization).
  • Routing Strategy: Determines how events are propagated through the tree (e.g., Tunneling, Bubbling).
  • Geometry: The structure and relationships between nodes in the middleware tree.
  • Event: A message that flows through the middleware tree, carrying data and metadata.

Components

  • MQTT Connector: A node that provides MQTT protocol integration for pub/sub messaging.
  • JWT Authorization: A node that handles JSON Web Token validation and authorization.
  • Terminal Component: A node that provides command processing and shell capabilities.

WPF Integration

  • XAML Configuration: Declarative syntax for defining middleware tree structure and behavior.
  • Visual Tree: The WPF representation of the middleware tree for debugging and monitoring.
  • Property Binding: Connection between WPF UI elements and middleware node properties.

Development

  • Middleware Pipeline: The sequence of nodes that process an event.
  • Event Handler: A function that processes specific types of events.
  • Property System: Mechanism for managing and propagating state changes.
  • Tree Traversal: The process of visiting nodes in the middleware tree.
